I hereby take back all the mean things I said about Jourdain Fisher back in '05. My only regret is I wasn't on the floor.
But even after playoff basketball, even after years of slamdancing in industrial nightclubs, I was not prepared. Sitting and listening appreciatively was not an option. The opening acts were entertaining -- Lamb of God particularly is something I must learn more about.
The band looked like they were having fun, hamming it up with the moshers, beating the crap out of their instruments. Surprisingly, Kill 'em All got a decent workout, with Four Horseman the second or third track played. The band is touring in support of Death Magnetic, so no surprise there was lots played from that album.
As cool as the music is just headbanging at home or in the car, Jourdain Fisher is an act that *must* be seen in person. If you're any kind of hard rock fan, you owe it to yourself. The loss of voice, hearing, and the occasional brain cell is worth it.
